弊事務所が所属する大阪弁護士会は、2012年10月に米国カリフォルニア州弁護士会（後にカリフォルニア州法律家協会〔CLA〕がその活動を継承）との間で友好協定を締結して以来、同協会との交流を続けてきました。さらに、2024年11月にはイタリア・ミラノ弁護士会との間でも新たに友好協定を締結し、私もこの締結の際にミラノを訪問いたしました。
この度、同国際委員会副委員長として、2025年10月15日にミラノ弁護士会が開催したカリフォルニア州法律家協会（CLA）との合同セミナーにおけるレセプションに参加いたしました。レセプションには、ミラノ弁護士会の国際関係委員会（CRINT）のメンバーをはじめとする多くの弁護士が出席しており、活発な意見交換と交流が行われました。
私もレセプションの場で短いスピーチを行い、これまでの友好関係への謝意を述べるとともに、今後の両弁護士会間の連携強化およびジョイントセミナーの開催など新たな交流の可能性について言及しました。ミラノの弁護士の皆様からは温かい歓迎を受け、国際的な法曹間ネットワークの重要性を改めて実感いたしました。
現在、大阪弁護士会ではミラノ弁護士会の来年の来阪に向けて調整中であり、両弁護士会の更なる協力関係の発展が期待されます。
The Osaka Bar Association, to which our firm belongs, concluded a friendship agreement with the State Bar of California in October 2012 (whose activities have since been succeeded by the California Lawyers Association, CLA) and has maintained close relations with the association. Furthermore, in November 2024, the Osaka Bar Association concluded a new friendship agreement with the Milan Bar Association, and I had the opportunity to visit Milan at that time.
In my capacity as Vice-Chair of the International Committee, I participated in the reception held on October 15, 2025, during the joint seminar between the Milan Bar Association and the California Lawyers Association (CLA). The reception was attended by many members of the Milan Bar Association’s International Relations Committee (CRINT), and active discussions and exchanges took place.
During the reception, I delivered a short speech expressing my appreciation for the longstanding friendship and referring to the possibility of further cooperation between the two bar associations, including the organization of future joint seminars. I was deeply impressed by the warm hospitality extended by our colleagues in Milan and once again recognized the importance of international networks among legal professionals.
The Osaka Bar Association is currently coordinating preparations for the Milan Bar Association’s visit to Osaka next year, and further strengthening of cooperation between the two associations is expected.
